Usain had his chance to show his stuff, in the face of his critics, at the 2012 London Olympics. Runners of Jamaican decent have actually been dominating world sprinting as far back as Ben Johnson in the 1980s (who was born in Falmouth, Jamaica), and Donovan Bailey in the 1990s (born in Manchester, Jamaica). Why would they though, with so much else to offer. Usain had a simple and happy childhood apparently. Usain's journey to the top was almost complete, but there was still one more test for him before he could become the greatest of all time. Once again Usain won both events with relative ease and forever put his name into the history books.
In almost no time Usain started moving up the local rankings in the 100 and bent bolt 200 meter sprints. Jamaica is not done yet, there continues to be a pipe clamp stream of talent coming out of this amazing island nation.
